Tony Award winner Anna Shapiro Directs “Straight White Men” on Broadway

Young Jean Lee’s “Straight White Men”, directed by Princess Grace Award winner Anna D. Shapiro (1996 Theater, 2010 Statue Award) is on Broadway at Second Stage Theater. The show, ironically written and directed by women, has made a splash with its all-star cast, including: Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name), Josh Charles (“The Good Wife”), Paul Schneider (“Parks & Recreation”) and Stephen Payne (August: Osage County on Broadway).

The play follows the lives of three sons and a father who, during a Christmas Eve dinner, are forced to confront their own identities after a question interrupts their holiday cheer. The New York Times describes the show as “Undeniably powerful. You’ll have plenty to talk about after seeing ‘Straight White Men.’”

Performances run through September 9, tickets here.
