Director Tina Landau Nominated for 2018 Tony Award!

On May 1st, the 2018 Tony Award nominees were announced by Princess Grace Award winner Leslie Odom Jr. (2002 Theater, 2016 Statue Award) and Katharine McPhee. Featured among the incredibly talented list of nominees is Princess Grace Award winner Tina Landau (1988 Theater, 1999 Statue Award), who was nominated for Best Direction of a Musical. Tina, who helmed and co-conceived the brand new hit Broadway show, "SpongeBob SquarePants: the Broadway Musical", is one of two female directors nominated. She just received an Outer Critics Circle Award for the same role. In addition, Artistic Advisory Board member Renée Fleming was nominated for best actress in her role as Nettie Fowler in “Carousel”. Congratulations to these two amazing women!

Since Princess Grace Foundation-USA's inception 36 years ago, many Award winners have received Tonys for their exceptional work on stage. Tony nominated Princess Grace Award winners include such names as Paul Tazewell, costume designer for “Hamilton”, Anna D.
