Choreographer Jeffrey Cirio Helps Olympic Skaters Win Silver!

The 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea have come to an end, but as we look back, we marvel at the incredible achievements and triumphants by all the extraordinary athletes who participated in the games throughout the world.

But behind the scenes, these high achieving athletes are surrounded by hard working teams that are equally part of the magic.  The Foundaiton would like to congratulate Jeffrey Cirio (2009 Dance) Princess Grace Award winning ballet choreographer who helped develop a routine for the French figure skating pair Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron. Also known as ice dancers, these athletes are scored not only for their stunts, but also for their artistry. You can see their performance here.

The French duo's pas de deux ended up winning them the silver medal, and later the program was described by the New York Times "as ethereal as ballet." Jeffrey is a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre and is the co-founder and artistic director of the choreography-focused group Cirio Collective.
