Gian Carlo Perez

Gian Carlo Perez, from Havana, Cuba, danced with the Ballet Nacional de Cuba (BNC) under Alicia Alonso. In Rome, he participated in a BNC Teaching Award and danced repertoire including Celestial by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Lumino by  Peter Quans, and worked with Viensay Valdes. He has danced in Spain, Panama, Italy, and France. Perez toured Spain in 2013 to celebrate the Ballet Nacional de Cuba’s 70th anniversary. In 2014, he was awarded under the first solo category for his role of Othello in the prologue. He participated in a ballet series in Panama along with Manuela Navarro; in 2014, they both performed together in the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi; that same year, he participated in the Gala of the Stars of the 21st Century in France.
