Nieto began his training at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, and Columbia Dance, later mentored by Tracey Durbin in Portland, Oregon. Franco graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a B.F.A. in Jazz in 2009 where he worked with Robert Battle and also danced as a member of ezdanza in Montreal.

Nieto has performed with Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga at Carnegie Hall in New York City and also performed at The II International Ballet Award Ceremony in St. Petersburg, Russia alongside Rasta Thomas. He was a leading dancer with Bad Boys of Dance in Rasta Thomas’ ROCK the Ballet, performing and teaching in over 10 different countries.

Franco is currently dancing with NW Dance Project, winners of the Sadler’s Wells Global Dance Contest in London where the company performed as part of the 2012 Olympic Arts Festival. NWDP is known for paving the way for the next generation of voices in contemporary dance. Franco has danced original roles in Northwest Dance Project works by Didy Veldman, Patrick Delcriox, Sarah Slipper, Luca Veggetti, Pedro Dias, Maurice Causey, Wen Wei Wang, Andrea Miller, Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Noam Gagnon, James Canfield, Loni Landon, Gregory Dolbashian,  Ihsan Rustem, Kate Wallich and Lauren Edson.
