The megahit musical Hamilton has earned a record-breaking 16 Tony Award nominations, the biggest haul in Broadway history and another step in the show's march into theatrical history. Leslie Odom Jr. was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his gripping portrayal of Aaron Burr. This is Leslie’s first Tony nomination and comes on the heels of our exciting announcement that he will receive the 2016 Princess Grace Statue Award at this year’s Gala.
Paul Tazewell, who won his Princess Grace Award in 1993 and Statue Award in 2004, has received a nomination for Best Costume Design for Hamilton. Paul has designed costumes for over a dozen Broadway productions, five of which have received Tony nominations.
