Riley Watts
Initial PGF Award: Dance Scholarship - Modern, 2006
Born and raised in Glenburn, Maine, Riley Watts started his dance training at the Thomas School of Dance and the Walnut Hill school where he graduated in June 2003. In 2007 Riley will receive his B.F.A. from The Juilliard School where he has performed works by William Forsythe, Susan Marshall, José Limón, Hans van Manen, Alan Hineline, Thaddeus Davis, Eliot Feld, and George Balanchine. In recent summers, Riley performed soloist roles with Fugate/Bahiri BalletNY and took part in residencies at The Yard with Patricia N. Nanon and Adam Hougland, as well as The Professional Project of Ballet Divertimento in Montreal. In August 2006 he toured Peru with the recently founded Public Dance Theater to teach and perform around the country.
