Ben Gunderson
Initial PGF Award: Acting Scholarship, 2008, Robert and Gloria Houseman Theater Award
Ben Gunderson is going into his final year in the School of Drama at the North Carolina School of the Arts. He was born in Fargo, ND and raised just across the border in Moorhead, MN where he’s been on the stage since his sixth grade year. His recent NCSA roles include Solange in The Maids, Dopey in Balm in Gilead, and Riff in West Side Story. Other NCSA credits are Take One Step, Comedy of Errors, Henry IV, Dead Man Walking. Fargo credits include Beauty and the Beast, Violet, Working, Batboy, Evita, Art, Les Miserables, Flowers for Algernon. He was the 2005 recipient of an NFAA Arts Award and a Donna Reed Foundation Scholarship in musical theater, and was chosen to speak at the first annual Actors Congress in 2006. He is lactose-intolerant.
