Andrew Bartee

Initial PGF Award: Dance Scholarship - Ballet, 2007

 Andrew Bartee is twenty one years old and is from Everett, Washington.  He began ballet lessons at age eleven and at thirteen began studying on scholarship at Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle. He has attended summer courses at Pacific Northwest Ballet School and the School of American Ballet, and was the first recipient of the Flemming Halby Exchange with the Royal Danish Ballet School. Mr. Bartee joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 2008, and was promoted to the corps de ballet in 2009. In 2010 he also began dancing with Whim W'Him, a Seattle based dance company founded and directed by PNB principle dancer Olivier Wevers.
